I have been several times in Ireland and England, however, before coming to Leuven, I had never tried to take exams in English. At the end of the year I suceeded in all of them, so I can say that my English skills are quite improved.

I thouhgt that I would have a lot of problems because I didnt speak ducth, but in Leuven almost everybody speak english pretty well

I did not come to Belgium to learn Dutch, and my program was in English. Sometimes, profs did not speak English very well, but mostly, they tried very hard. Almost everyone knows English in Flanders, and they can speak it very well.

At the first moment it was not very easy to communicate in all areas with everybody but as soon as you start to feel relaxed, confortable with your new way of life and with the people you meet there... things go better and better.

EVERYBODY SPEAKS ENGLISH SO IT WAS NO SO DIFFICULT TO COMUNICATE.BUT SOMETINES THEY PREFER TO SPEAK IN THEIR LANGUAGE
