In examination period sometimes is not time enough to study(maybe 5 exams in 10 days). Anyway, I understand is difficult for the university to organize exams as good for everybody. Finally although your time is limited I manage to prepare them.

Personal spending habits
- The tuition was the biggest factor in saving money for me. After using my scholarships and financial aid at Hanover College, I actually ended up spending a whole semestre at Leuven for merely 60 USDollars, and that's everything (tuition, food, room)! - Cooking on my own was much cheaper than my mandatory board at Hanover College. - I could travel to most places in Europe by bus or train, which were not that expensive. - International phone cards are expensive and may be sold "empty" with no credits on! Be careful!

Housing
Type of housing: Room in a "Kot"
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Single Room in a "Kot"
Why?
It's cool to share at least the kitchen where you can chat with other people of the building.

Personal comments
Leuven is a good place to feel for the first time that you are completely independent. There are also some student residences which are cool too.
