As the language of instruction was English, I did not have problems in class. Communication was not a problem in the host country, since people generally understood English if there was something I could not communicate in Dutch.

At KU Leuven learning japanese language is not the only thing we learn. Jaoanese politics, history, culture and religion is also important in our education. When I enter master programme, we can freely choose courses from other faculties such as communication, international relations, management and etc. In this way we not only have the language ability but also other skills on top of that.

Pros
We are working in a small team so everyone is very close and we help each other.
Cons
Still we need more professors to teach us more. The courses can be also more extended.

Overall
I am studying an Erasmus program which required me studying in four different universities in four countries. My first mobility was KU LEUVEN Belgium and throughout the duration of my study, I really enjoyed the mode of teaching and the curriculum. The teachers are approachable and several seminars and workshops are organised in discussing transition from academics to the industry.
