currency.... The Dollar is so strong compared to the Mark. When you stop converting the currencies you actually spend not more than at home. The difference is just that you don't earn anything while studying abroad !

no surprises....just spent too much money. Clothes, music and books are still cheaper in the US than at home and that's why I spent a lot of money for that. Cost-saving tips ? Save a lot of money before you leave home !
