-Find an accomodation near your campus so that you can shorten your travelling time. -Enjoy your stay there and get to know as many people from different countries as possible.

Overall
The university is huge and looks like a mini city or IT park with a lot of building and grounds and parks. There are peacocks on campus. The weather is fresh and clear. Used to cycle to campus from city on the river side bicycle path. Beautiful country and atmosphere. Sadly I cannot say the same for the people and the University. The course is well structured and lots of knowledge can be gained from the course which is flexible. But the attitude of the professors and students is bad. In my first year I had to do my Masters online and pay the same high fees for any international student for sitting in front of a camera. I was verbally abused by a professor in front of the entire class because of my design and he threatened to fail me and not allow me to pass his entire semester. It caused me stress and mental health problems. The students lack maturity and show signs of subtle racism like not willing to help you and giving you the cold shoulder when you ask for help, local students behave like this and international students are quite friendly. There is no job support after you graduate and internships are also hard to find and you will have to source it yourself. Keep in mind that Perth, WA is a mining city and you will not find many jobs in Architecture, IT or the technical field after you graduate. You will have to move to the Eastern States for work. I recommend that you do not come to Australia for studies as the nation does not know how to treat foreigners well and will make you feel othered. There is less investment in technology and innovation and most people are very less educated brick layers, plumbers, tilers, miners and other blue collar workers who show lots of racism and arrogance to migrants. Do not waste your future in this country if are a tech and innovation oriented person.

Careers
There are no internships or career opportunities in Perth for international students. As this is a mining city and heaven for blue collar workers and not for the type of people who like to think, innovate, ask questions and be pioneers.

Really nice campus, lots of trees and old buildings. Love the birds around, which makes it really easy to relax. Teaching quality for most units is good, lots of onus put on the student to find the information for themselves.

I had a wonderful time studying at UWA, such a peaceful place to learn. I just wish they would improve the wifi and some of the AV things in the lectures. Apart from that, I loved it.

when planning your travels, keep an eye on the season/weather. going up north is better during winter, while south is better in summer, etc. lonely planet gives good recommendations.
