The most clubs and bars are located in Northbridge. However, in my opinion, its not very good for going out. I prefer Subiaco where the crowd is a little bit older and the clubs and cafes have more style. Also popular are Leederville (Hippie Club on Tuesday) and Cottesloe (Sunday session in the Cot Hotel).

Steves on Wednesday with the rest of the Exchange Crew, Most important: Sunday Session at Cott and OBH, Domes for Breakfast, Subi Hotel (I also worked there)
