Cornwall is very beautiful, lots of beautiful beaches and spots; Solstice at Stonehenge, opportunity to touch the stones and if you are lucky you can see the sunrise; get in contact with other erasmus people, this is very helpful and it is easier than to get in touch with locals

I do not remember the names of the cafes and bars I was going to, except for some, for example :
- Lennon's for a drink in a "cool" bar with live bands playing (rock, celtic music...)
- bridge on water (candles and jazz atmosphere for a pint of guiness or/and a romantic dinner in a corner of this cosy restaurant !)
- the bar along Highfield Road, very big and familial, with several fire places (very nice during English winters !)
- the one in front of Lennon's, an Irish Pub

try to arrange accomodation with student from host school beforeyour arrival,try to look for thier exchange student who wants to go into your university town and change it with them.

Travel tips: Isle of Wight by ferry, London by coach (national express, megabus), Bournemouth by coach;
Courses: choose at least 2 courses with 100% courses where you don't have a final exam.
Accommodation: if you want to live in a nice room, you have to pay 240 Pounds at the minimum.

I lived with two girls from the U.S. and a british guy...my flatmates were really nice and the house was comfortable, but it was too far from the city center and university..anyway, some of my friends were living in the same area so I had no problems at all.
