The teaching style in China is very different from that in America which takes some getting used to, more interaction between teachers and students in class would be nice.

Speaking English helped in the university, because most of the teachers do speak a bit of it. But in everyday life, it was not very helpful, because people in the streets do not understand a word of what you are saying!

It was a nice dormitory style housing, we had our own bathrooms and internet access. Comparable to other Chinese student dorms, our places were very nice.
