Studying in a foreign university is a great opportunity, so do take it if you get this chance!
It helps you to become more open-minded and to meet people from all over the world. And no matter if you do not know a lot before going, such as the language! I survived! And I'm glad I made it!

Plan all trips ahead of time, especially where you will be going when you get to your destination, as in: the sites you want to see at your destination, etc.
Be friendly with the locals, most of them will love to talk to you in either English (if they know it they will want to practice it) or Chinese.
