Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
a house or an apartment is cosy and you feel more at home than in student halls.

Personal comments
i have tried both accomodation: student room in halls and a room in a house. Both have their advantages but i prefer a room in a house where you would feel more at home and you have more space. The University was very helpful and the rooms they propose are always correct. They offered good support.

Personal comments
Prioritising the most important needs for your studies were more important such as food, rent, fees and buy other things mostly second hand. Reduce the outings and spending on luxuries until you finish the studies. You also have got to work to suppliment your income but this need to be balanced with the pressure of school work

Isobel D
France, Undergraduate
Language, 2022
Overall
There's an endless amount of courses and support available regardless of whatever you choose to study. The campus and library are always updated and academic staff are always extremely helpful. There is also a lot of college support available which is great for anyone moving into halls for the first year and this continues throughout your time at the University.

“University of Durham”
Georgia H
United Kingdom, Undergraduate
Language, 2024
Overall
A brilliant university offering an exceptional quality of education in a fun, student-filled city in the North of England. A hub of academic endeavour, opportunities for extra-curricular engagement and like-minded others.

Pros
High quality of education and professors who are experts in their field. Collegiate system makes the university experience feel more personal and opportunity to connect with like-minded others.
Cons
Cold weather! Quite a small 'city' so not so well suited for those preferring a more metropolitan lifestyle. More limited offer of courses and course combinations compared to some other universities, more traditional and general courses.
