I wish I had known the language very well before coming because it denied me alot of good students jobs/internships which would have widen my scope of experience better than this.

Studying abroad is the best experience that anyone could enjoy. My has really thought me alot of things and widen my experience in life. I would advise anyone to try it and make best use of it, its the best!

Nothing especiall. Information for students going abroad for Socrates/Erasmus exchange is very good, they provide students with every needed info about host country and uni.

Final comments
Its good to buy Museum Card - it costs about 15 euro but later on entry is free to most of the museums in the Netherlands. Its really worthy. Its better if u will find accomodation through your host university because otherwise it will be difficult to find a place. Amsterdam is very crowdy:)

that it RAINS SO MUC HERE!!!!! get yourself a BIG lock for your bike (and don't get too emotionally attached to it ;-) - it will probably get stolen anyway). Tyre replacement is VERY expensive (more expensive than second hand bikes sometimes!!!

go to Delft & Leiden. DON'T go to Rotterdam (unless you want to see a socialist city "modernized" a bit - STRANGE! & depressing)

Do not go for cheap umbrellas - buy a big and strong one right away! Self-service in the cafes will safe your time enormously. Bicycles bought from junkies add to your cultural integration and save your money...

This experience was great for me. The only problem was that the erasmus grant was to much little.

A modern, research-intensive university with a long and rich history.  UvA is the largest university in the Netherlands with the widest range of courses and because of this you will meet many different and interesting students from all over the world. 
Most of the faculties are housed in beautiful historical buildings in the centre of Amsterdam which makes your studentlife a rich cultural experience.
