When I arrived to Maastricht I was a bit scared because I didn´t Know if I would be able to study in English because the high level required by the courses. But, currently, I think I´m able to develop my professional career in this lenguage.

Maastricht is quite international city so english is enough to develop a normal live there. At the university everything was in english. That was really usefull to make me improve my lenguage skills really quickly.

Holland is impressed by me as people are flexible and have multilanguage capabilities. English is normally spoken by citizens, therefore i don't feel an urgent need to learn Dutch and still feel comfortable to communicate with people here. In UM, working language is English, too.

All courses available to exchange students are taught in English, so if you are fluent in that language you should have no difficulties in communicating (in and off campus) with teachers, coleagues, ...

A good level of English is a basic requirement on academic and social groungs. The local people speaks English although it is nice to try to make an effort to speak dutch, they really appreciate it.

English was the language spoken by all students and so I could communicate with everybody. Was nice to meet native speakers to improve my language skills in areas that are not taught at school.
