He Wilhelmshöhe area is lovely, so are many of the sourrouding suburbs and villages. Don´t be put off by the inner city. Make use of the Semester ticket (unlimited travel within North Hesse for a once-off price). The museams and theatres are quite good.

Final comments
Going to Berlin is really expensive. There are so many beautifull cities in Germany such as Magdeburg, Göttingen and many more. VISIT THEM TOO

Having a small apartment for yourselfe, is much better. Then I dont have to share it with other room mates.

Why?
I found living in a private flat gave me more impetus to mix with rela live Germans and get to know what life is really life in Germany, rather than the rather shallow typical Erasmus/exchange student exxperience.
