My exchange here was hands down the best time of my life. Cologne is in the perfect location for travel and has the friendliest people in Germany. Night life is great and you never get bored. I recommend you get a bike, cycling around the city is great as it's so bike-friendly and flat. I simply had the best time ever. I LOVE COLOGNE <3

The city has not lots of things to see, but it's quite nice and there're lots of students. If you have the opportunity, travel around, since connections from Cologne to other cities are very good (always cheaper if you go in a group!!)

Get to the host university at least one week before the semester starts. It gives you the opportunity to manage all the administrative tasks in advance.
