Personal comments
Most of the exchange students lived in student residences. These varied very much. So I'll recommend Am Steingarten or Carl Zuckmayer Strasse. Better connection to city all night, and close to park and swimmingpool.

“It is full of corruption”
Joe
Germany, Graduate
, 2018
Overall
Some of the Master professors at the Mannheim University are corrupted. They manipulate the exams, and give exam solutions to German students who have the same political views as them or to those internationals who have money to buy them. They respond aggressively in private to questions related the exams and publicly they give generic solutions to exercises, which often are not enough for passing the exam with the minimum points.

Personal comments
Unfortunately I had to take so many academic courses, that I had no time for language courses, which where free for students. I also interacted most with scandinavian people, therefore my language skills didn't improve much.
