Multidisciplinary course work on developing the capacity for understanding and analyzing the international dimension of political, economic and social phenomena. Also, it enables the monitoring of highly complex operational projects and strategies in the fields of international relations, development cooperation and European policies. I am thus conversant with such issues areas as European Economics, Politics and Finance, including; European Macroeconomics, Environmental Economics, Comparative Politics, European Union Politics, International Human Rights Law, International Economic Law, Monetary Economics and Principles of Informatics - EXCEL

Points forts

Very progressive thinking professors with mordern teaching methods .

Inconvénients

Complex organisational and administrative structure. Lack of multi-lingual support staff.

Before I didn't understand a word italian. The first three weeks I followed a language course and there I got to learn the basis. When the exams started I also got to learn 'economic' italian. After I returnd I think I can say that I improved a lot! Now I plan to improve my italian further, after all it's one of the most beautiful languages in the world, isn't it?!

I spend more because life is too good in Italy! I travelled through Toscana, and went out to eat in restaurants a lot more than in Belgium. On the other hand, my accomodation was cheaper than in Belgium. (I think because it was from the university)

For clothes and shoes there is every wednesday a market in Siena. Here you find sometimes very nice and cheap things!

Pourquoi?

Because I dont'like sharing with a lot of people the spaces like kitchen, WC, TV room... and I also prefer mustn't follow the host family rules.

Before my arriving in Siena, I recived a mail with a lot of different flats to share with other students. In this mail there were the phones and mail adress to can find your flat from Barcelona. It helped me a lot

Si j'avais su

When you are going to study abroad make sure you see the room/appartment before making a down payment. I wish I did this before going to Siena. The problem is that you never know what you will find when youy are there.

The University of Siena is a very good university, but is is very Italian. This means un-organized.
