Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Greater independence/freedom; real experience of living in a foreign country; opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds (i.e. not necessarily students.)

Personal comments
No experience of university halls of residence. As I understood it, it was more expensive than finding private accomodation, although this did include meals.

Horrible experiencia

It is a great university with nice people. The city is not big but this can be an advantage too because its very easy to get to know others exchange students.

you should join the language course at the beginning of the semester to get to know people and to do some travelling togehter. if you don`t like the accomodation that the host university has offered you it is no problem to find another one. summarized i loved the semester in spain and i would recommand it to everybody to do it!

during the day the students meet in the cafes just beside the facultiy. in the night there are 4 areas where to go out - all of different stile. they aswell have different "rush-hours" and so you start in one and then you move to the next and maybe to another one ... you have there bars where you just stay outside, because the crowd dont fit inside and you have bars-discos or normal discos with 2 floors. the good thing is, that most of the areas are in the centre of the town- so you can reach them by feet.
