The experience was at first hindered by the fact that a lot of people would speak Galego in social settings. As the year progressed, however, rather than see this as a hinderance, I chose to see it as an opportunity as not only did I leave Spain with much better Castilian, I had learnt the basics of their local language too! In terms of lessons, it wasn't too bad, and the Spanish for foreigners lessons were a constant reminder what we were all there for, i.e. to learn Spanish!!

“La universidad más difícil de españa”

Examenes bastante dificiles, no les temblaba el pulso suspendiedote con un 4,5. Mucha teoría poca práctica.

Careers

Realicé prácticas en un despacho de abogados en Santiago. Me las organizaron ellos. Niguna queja al respecto.

Los estudiantes y la propia ciudad es lo que hace valer la pena estudiar alli

Bring boots for the rainy climate and find a place to live where you really think you will be comfortable because that can make your life great or awful.

The rain is no joke, be prepared. Northern Spain can get COLD!

Final comments

I know there is an Erasmus program there. I would recommend going. It's a beautiful city and a great time. Late spring and summer are definately the time to be there.
