The people are all very friendly and more than willing to help you out when you have a problem. Many things are arranged for the foreign students, and in a very good way even.

Course recommendations
The Scandinavian Studies program is a great way to take courses in English and to meet other international students. If you want to meet Finnish students and see how the Finnish university system really works, try to take classes in the larger university as well.

It is somewhat difficult to arrange to take courses in English outside of the International program courses, but keep trying if you really want to take them.

There are very few tests or exams for the international-student courses. There is usually a 2-5 page paper for each course, but they are nothing big. Very little work--I loved it!
