In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
Important factors in my choice

Personal recommendation
Enjoy the campus life, follow all the classes and do the best for the home works, projects, in-class exams. These latter ones are gonna be so meaningful for the final grade.

This was a great experience. I'd like to quote the following to let you understand what was for me this year: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw of the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.".

That it's not that easy to find courses matching the ones at your home university - as that was something important for my stay in Madrid

A new school, close to the capital. Good teachers, fairly good course choices - good atmosphere. Lots of exchange students!

Everything in Spain happens slowly -"mañana" is a suitable word. Cheap to travel, beautiful country, long nights. Nothing happens before midnight. Nice and open people. Had the best time, met great people and made some good connections. If you get the chanse to do something like this - take it!

If you have a conexion fly to Madrid please take care because sometimes Iberia or British lost your bagage. be careful when you arrived, if you go to the Gran Via, Madrid or any big event because they are a lot of robbers.

“Studying Business Administration in Carlos III University in Madrid”
Gema H
Switzerland, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2022
Overall
During the time I have been studying in Carlos III Madrid, a public university in Madrid, very prestigious in the business area, I have learnt how to organise myself and deal with every kind of people. I have been taught by many international professors and have studied in the same class as many international students that came abroad for a semester.
Every subject in Carlos III is very high leveled and every time I thought I could not pass the subjects because they were too hard it pushed me to pass every single course making me feel proud of myself. I have grown a lot during these last years.

You should start looking for a flat at least a month before the university starts. In the first month of the course everybody looks for housing. You can make a good bargain by starting early!

Try to get on the ERASMUS trips. They are excellent. If you have any administration problems contact the ORI (oficina de relaciones internacionales = student exchange office!). They are very kind.
