Living in a city means the cost of going out etc is going to be higher. Ringing home costs a lot more! I travelled most of Spain in the year so that was a big expense. Spain is generally very much cheaper than England but the volume of things adds up.

Cost-saving tip...open a bank account in the host country and transaction costs are very much reduced. An 'abono' for transport is also very handy.

Spain has very cheap nightlife.Bars and drinks are very cheap!Aslo shopping is quite cheap!!Eating, traveling are more expensive.Also the telephone costs!In overall, it's the perfect place for a good student life!
