Expenses
Main source of funding:
Personal savings
Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant<br>
A private grant
Work opportunities:

Personal spending habits
Telephone: its expensive. You never phone nowhere for 1 ct a minute like in Austria. Normally its 15 ct a minute.
Housing: Rooms in shared flats are really expensive in Madrid.
Nightlife: Drinks and going-out are usually cheaper than in Viena but when you go out more your expenses are the same in the end.
Travel: I spent more because I travelled a lot through Spain.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
more independence than with family. Campus is far away from city center and I prefer to stay near the center.

Personal comments
some students do live on the campus but as the university is in Getafe, you might miss a lot of Madrids nightlife. And living on the campus is quite expensive. So it might be better to look for rooms in Madrid although it takes you more time to university.
