Overall

Travel light, because you accumulate lots of things over the period of stay. Stick with it...at first lots of things are very different but for me it has been one of the most valuable experiences yet.

I learnt spanish while working in spain. so I had an overall knowledge of everyday phrases. as I had not done any course and had not studied before in spain I did not have very business specific vocabulary. within the first three weeks one learns almost all the necessary vocabulary to follow courses and taking exams was not a problem.

if your spanish is not good enough to take spanish courses then be prepared settle for some course you might not want to take since the choice of subjects in english is limited and can change.

Erasmus trips are worthwhile but also great to hire a car and just pick a place on the map to visit. Madrid is great...little student events but great cafes in La Latina...and Sol for discos.
