Puuteri is one of the best places in town to hang out on saturday night. It is a classy place. You also have Dynamo which is more alternative and you can find all kinds of people. another popular place is 57. It is always crowded and they have a famous Happy Hour everyday from 9 to 11. Lots of parties on wednesday at the faculty, especially at Turun Kauppakorkeakoulu.

The language of instruction in Finland was English. I have always been able to speak English quite well so never had problems with it. However, in Turku there are two dominant spoken languages: Finnish and Swedish. I loved Finnish but did not have many opportunities to learn it properly although I could manage with the daily situations/experience.
