The University was beautiful. The architecture was so detailed and our surroundings were surreal. My experience as a student and an independent traveler were hiehgtened due the location and the historical significance of Trinity University. With the Book of Kells exhibition being on campus and the campus being in a prime location of Dublin, a perfect mix of adventure and education was at our fingertips.

Trinity is a beautiful place to learn, but it is also fiercely competitive and very study (and money) orientated and often there is a feeling that students come second to such concerns.

Final comments
Try to stay away from all the cliches of visiting Dublin. Some of the traditional sights are fascinating, but don't expect a thatched cottage or dancing at the crossroads - Dublin is a modern city like New York or London and has all the good and bad stuff that goes along with that mantle.

Pravda - lounge at Ha'penny bridge (leather sofas...)
Morrisons - a little bit further to the east, north side of Ha'penny bridge ... very relaxing, stylish interior (black and white leather couches)

Irish have an accent which i've never faced before. After a week of interaction it was pretty ok. but still sometimes, in social life situations, the slang or accent were uneasy to understand.
