I was on the campus of San Luis Potosi, and there are no student residences. So it's very common that foreign students - even if they are only a few - live in a family.

Pourquoi?
I just wanted to live with a family to learn the culture and the language better. Next time It would be nice to live alone as I know the language already and the culture.
The geographic center of Mexico City is much more confortable to live and fully enjoy Mexico's cultural life.

I had troubles finding accomodation in Mexico City given the size of the city and I think some time are required to visit and choose one's place - what I did not really have.
