Best cafes-- cafe albert on birger jarlsgatan & cafe weiner on bibliotechsgatan. Best sandwich/lunch-- panini (multiple locations on drottningatan) and stockholms glas & pastahus on Vallhalavagen and in Soder. Best dinner restaurants-- everything on Skanegatan in Sodermalm (a trendy street lined with bars and restaurants). Best bars with friends-- soap bar (ostermalm) and black and brown inn (soder). Best bars to make new friends-- sture compagniet (ostermalm) and snaps (medborgarplatsen). When in stockholm DO NOT miss: Salu Hall in Ostermalm and the views of gamla stan and normalm from Soder.

Stockholm University is primarily a commuter school-- the swedish students who attend do not live at the university or spend time outside of the classroom there. In order to make swedish and stockholm friends, you *really* had to make an effort.

Stockholm was a lovely city, and plane trips to the mainland were always easy and affordable. Kilroy travel on campus is a huge help and great deal for planning weekend get-aways. Everytime you return to stockholm, though, you love the city that much more. A beautiful town filled with beautiful people!

Viking Line!!! Party-boats. Try to know where are the cheapest markets. Campus and University markets are expensive. Ikea is a good option for something.

if you are not a drinker, or if you don't drink too much, you can save half of the money! if you go to night culbs before 22.00, it's usually free entrance and you can listen to great concerts without spending one krona!
