There were no language barriers or difficulties as such. Almost everyone speaks English and I could get by with my French with those who didn't.

Before arriving to Reims I experienced some problems interacting with other local students because of the use of slang. After some months over there I got to use it myself and since then, I participated in more social activities within the school.

You think to speak French, unless you get there. Took me a few weeks to understand what was said because of dialects and unclear pronounciation

The medium of instruction was English which I am fluent in. The local language is French and I learned and am learning faster than I expected.

It was hard to speak french with the other exchange students, but if you hung out with the local students then you learn a lot better.
