ESC offers student accommodation right besides the campus, which is very convenient for the students and you get to know everybody very quickly. This student residence is fairly expensive though, and it's not furnished, you can rent furniture for additional cost though.
The residence I stayed in through CROUS, was much more affordable, close to city centre (only about 15min by bus to college though!), very clean and spacious, eveybody had own little appartment with toilet, shower and kitchen, you got to meet people from other institutions too - all positive experiences!
