Type of housing: ACOBHA

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
A flat or studio down in town is cheaper and more secure

Living in an ACOBHA is a very good choice for the first year: you meet new people, live just by the campus and can rent furniture.

The university accomodation on campus was very good compared with UK accomodation but our landlady was horrible.

One year in a 9m2 room is enough for an exchange year. Rouen offered a lovely environment to live in the city center.

There was a great student athmosphere. I enjoyed living on the campus where I could use the school's facilities all day long

The housing on the campus is really expensive and not that good. Better to find something yourself in the city.

Well, I have lived in ARC which is situated right in the centre of Rouen. It was expensive, but I am sure that this investment was a good one. You have all the basic comfort you need, the contact with other international students, and especially a direct link to all the parties organised in downtown bars of Rouen.

I was really impressed by the fact that when I have applied for a semester at the ESC Rouen, I had to choose between 5 different types of accomodation all organised by the host university. And the selection is really tremendous, from a small appartment at ANGO ( 9m² for 200 €) up to a room in downtown of Rouen for 450€. It saves me really a lot of time because looking for a reasonable and affordable accomodation is not really easy especially in bigger cities where the real estate market varies enormously. And the services you get offered ( during my stay in the ARC) such as breakfast, laundry services, parking etc.) was really impressive. In general, having been at all different student houses in Rouen, the atmosphere is really fantastic everywhere.
