Personal social experience
Personal comments
Rouen offers a fairly good range of activities. There is a hockey rink located on an island in the middle of the Seine, where I attended minor league hockey games and games sponsored by the students at my university. There are hiking and biking trails near the school that are fun to explore. Favorite night spots include the Central Cafe, the Emporium Galorium and the Underground Pub. There are several cafes and restaurants to choose from also, including brasseries that serve gourmet French cuisine for a good price, and couscous restaurants are popular and abundant as well.

I wish I had known the full expenses of living in France.

In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
I would suggest better access to internet and computer facilities. The computers often didn't work correctly, and neither did the printers. Also, the lab hours were never long enough.

During my experience abroad, I ...
(1) Never – (4) A lot
Became familiar with another culture
Met people from other countries
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies & career
Final comments
I am thoroughly glad that I chose this program. The university itself is very focused on promoting student life and I met a wide variety of interesting and fun people. I would suggest saving money for week long vacations, as opposed to traveling to different places every weekend. It's important to really spend time in your host city.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
The apartments offered were in a convenient location, with easy access to the university. I enjoyed the convenience of having my own living space, as well as being able to live amongst other international students and French citizens.

Personal comments
The housing accomodations assigned to me were convenient, fitting to my personal needs, and offered generous support on behalf of the landlords. However, it was expensive and I was not thoroughly informed of alternative means of finding apartments to live in, rather I was merely assigned to a certain apartment complex.

I spent the best 5 months of my life on this exchange. Everything was taken care of. The staff at the IFI school of business is great. Small class size allows more participation

Always investigate flight costs to parts of Europe from France, it can be really cheap, or equal to the price of riding the train.
