I really appreciated the perfect organisatin of this university and I can really recommend ESSEC to all who are interested in spending their exchange semester in France. Be aware of choosing the right courses; especially when you want to improve your French.

The host university I attend is a Grande Ecole, and the courses I study are post-graduate courses therfore the french students in the college are some of the best in the country and have very good english, so interacting is often in english which means international stuidents can sometimes get lazy. However I found that when I did speak I felt I was improving.

Although i have spent many summers in France since I was little and also studied French for many years at school, the fact of having it as my instruction language became a real challenge for me. In the end, I can say that I had no complicated situations with not coping well with the language and that my progress, I hope, is obvious.

It was very convenient with school, very close to the metro station and shopping facilities.

My room was very big and had a shower. The only negative was that there was a shared toilet and shared kitchen. Also, the average age of those staying on campus was about 20, perhaps not the best option for mature students .

Ecole à la carte où il est possible de choisir chaque trimestre si vous souhaitez faire des cours (à l'ESSEC ou dans une université partenaire ou d'autres expériences (stages, volontariats ou même projets personnels) ce qui vous laisse une grande liberté dans votre parcours. Cours intéressant et grande importance des valeurs de l'école dans tout le parcours. Vie associative très riche et diversifié.

Mon établissement aide à trouver des stages et ils ont un espace et du personnel dédié à cela on l'appelle le "career center". Nous avons eu plusieurs cours sur comment rédiger un CV et une lettre de motivation, comment se préparer à un entretient etc.
Je suis à la recherche d'un stage à l'étranger pour le moment.
