ESSEC

I have been thinking of pursuing MBA. After doing my research, I came across Esssec Business School. It seemed very impressive to me. I liked the campus, courses, accomodation and the placement opportunities that they had to offer. It is a quality educational institute. I applied for Bachelors in Business Administration course. I learnt quite a lot of details about the corporate world. Through this course, I understood the functioning methodologies of the business world. We were sent on some trips to get a first-hand experience of how things work. Essec focuses on all round development. This was evident with the additional training in the field of hospitality. My experience at Essec was complete. I think it was the best phase of my educational life. I will always cherish my time at Essec. If you want to build a strong foundation for your career in the corporate world, Essec is the place for you.

The host university I attend is a Grande Ecole, and the courses I study are post-graduate courses therfore the french students in the college are some of the best in the country and have very good english, so interacting is often in english which means international stuidents can sometimes get lazy. However I found that when I did speak I felt I was improving.

Although i have spent many summers in France since I was little and also studied French for many years at school, the fact of having it as my instruction language became a real challenge for me. In the end, I can say that I had no complicated situations with not coping well with the language and that my progress, I hope, is obvious.

Since their students are learning English to try to go abroad, they speak back to internationals in English even when we talked to them in French. Rather disappointing.

As ESSEC is an International Business School, English is very common. I was not really forced to speak French because everybody spoke English.
