Slovenia is a very beautiful country. it's definitely worth to travel around in small villages and in country side. I would recommend to go to the coastal area and lake Bled in the summer time and northern parts of the country and the skiing resorts in the wintertime. It's practical to have a car in Slovenia, because trains are slow and quite expensive - even for students.

In my opinion to study abroad at least one semester should be requirement for getting university degree. University teachers and professors should spend at least one semester in 5 years in different university.

I enjoyed very much the opportunity to study and to converse in English. My English was at a high level before my stay in Sloveneia and it has rather improved during my studies there mainly thanks to the contacts with the international students. I have learnt some bais Slovene expressions thanks to the common basics of the local language and my mother tongue. The Slovene courses I had helped me a lot in my everyday communication in public places and institutions.

Slovenia is in the center of Europe, so travel is really easy. Almost everybody speaks english or german, so is not important know nothing about slovenian language. About the rest, just come and you'll see. ;-)

Be open to the local culture and people ... they will answer you with hospitality and wisdom.
