I USUALLY HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH STUDYING AND ATTENDING LECTURES, BUT SOMETIMES UNDERSTANDING LOCAL STUDENTS WAS TOUGH.

I can recommend "Spices", "Angelic", "State bar", "Brats", to go out in th evening. There is one cosy "Starbucks" and "Cafe royal". Don't miss a football game! Halloween in Madison was amazing.

State st. is the place to be. However, the crowd is quite young, so for the more mature audience, one should visit the Square and its surrounding cafes/restaurants.

I only know about the accomodations for exchange students and these were pretty expensive compared to what the americans had to pay. The problem was that it was quite difficult to find an accomodation for only one semester.

I spoke well English before I arrived, but improved quite a lot. Much easier to speak fluent now.
