I found myself great improvement in English language learning after I came to study in London. Language is more important for us 'cause we are studying in Journalism. The course has provided many chances for us to practice. Writing, speaking, and reading. While language learning is a never-ending process. Should learn more during work experience afterwards...

Housing
Type of housing: Hall of Residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Hall of Residence
Why?
Although the services could have been better, I had the privacy of a single room and, at the same time, I could be with other young people.

I had difficulties in getting a place in a hall of residence, but afterwards everything was right:I make a lot of friends and the staff was nice. However, some things such as the cleaning service should be improved.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Although you get in touch with a lot of other students, you have not that much privacy that is sometimes needed. And therefore an own apartment/house would be better for me, as I can also choose the people I want to live with.

The best place to go and to celebrate all night long are the clubs in brick lane, cause they are not that expensive and you can meet lots of young, fashionable and crazy people. Nevertheless, sometimes it's also worth going to the city centre of London, especially when there are special student nights, e.g. in the Sports Cafe near Picadilly.

Though the halls of residence in England are of a lower standard than ours in Germany, it was great to live there and i can recommend it to every student. The community was incredible and i had the possibility to learn a lot about different cultures.

It's a very good university. The teachers are very interesting and make you feel at home. The location is the best, right in the centre of London and the activities the university offers are varied and interesting.

Going abroad is a very great experience. You meet lots of different people who live the same thing as you. I would advise to someone who wants to go to study in London to come with a lot of money because it's really expensive. You have to be ready to spend a lot! As for the accomodation, it's quite hard at the beginning to find something but then everyone is pleased and there is a very useful newspaper called the Loot with hundreds of accomodation ads
