If you want to travel to the US, don't fly from London, ON, take a bus to Detroit and then take a plane. It is much cheaper!

Make sure you go to orientation events at the beginning of semester to find your way around and meet people. Also join lots of clubs.

You can fly to London/ON from Europe via Toronto or Detroit. London Airport is about 25min from Downtown.

The bars, nightclubs, cafes and restaurants were nothing special but as it was a student town all these places were always very lively. My favourite place would have to be The Spoke (an on campus bar) on Wednesday night where a popular old student would perform.
