University of Southampton

Travel tip: with Megabus, you can get a return trip to London in a coach for £2.5! Which means you could go there every week end! Don't miss Stonehenge, the Isle of Wigth, Winchester and New Forest.

There is a transport company called MEGABUS. For only 1 pound you can go to London and it takes only 2 hours.

I experienced some difficulties at the beginning, especially in the social situations with mother tongue people, but then things have gone better and better

In Southampton, people have the same accent that what you can hear on the tapes you listen to when learning english at school, with makes it pretty easy!

Student and Night life in Southampton were great: the university had a cinema inside that was really cheap (if you had the university card, of course)and had a good movie program..the university also organized ball quite often and karaoke nights on thursday. Outside University, my friends and I usually went to clubs and pubs closed to the city center and there we had lots of fun too...Jester's, for example, or Ikon were our favourite. Wednesday afternoon was dedicated to sport and social activities..I was in the volley team and I played tennis quite often.
