Lived in Senior Annexe of Stephenson Hall in Broomhill-beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to lectures. Rooms in older buildings are much larger than in modern buildings. Paid same amount for room 3x as large. Single rooms with sinks.

The opportunity to explore the country. Accommodation was much more expensive than in my home country and also the phone bills. Food was about the same, except in reaturants, where the food was quite expensive.

Leave your mobile phones to your home countries, don't eat in the restaurants. But books are a lot cheaper in UK. Try to avoid London,it's mega-expensive (I know, everybody has to visit it!It's cool anyway)

Revolution, Starbucks in Division street, Common room, Theatre in city center, Meadaowhall (massive commercial center where you can find EVERYTHING!

Housing in the university is really practical, but for the first year in the uni. I would prefer be independant and live wit postgraduate people.
