To watch sport events, The Festing is a great pub on Albert road
Then, best places are the Shepherd or the Wakeabout near Guidhall walk.
Finally, most of Portsmouth's students spend their night at the student union but I advice to go to the Scandals ( a latino nightclub)

There are only a few main clubs if you want to go out, but also there are several pubs to drink a beer with your friends. Most of the university students are meeting in houses and they begin the night life over there.

The fawcett Inn is definitely the best pub in town; Any nightclub can be ok if you get there on the right night; Don't miss the ooportunity to visit the Historical Ships and the special event every Saturday.

Gunwharf Queys - that is the place to be. new development project on the sea side. outlets, outstanding restaurants and clubs. very nice area with quite few events through out the year
