No, only the way how we interact with local students but I suppose that it is more or less the same in all university of Western Europe.

The only improvement is actually in progress because of the restauration of the majors buildings and creation of a better sport center.

As Plymouth is a harbour, the Barbican and the Hoe are the two places where any person coming here has to visit and enjoy the magnificent view. Also, the Pavillions where you can go to swin, practicing ice rink, watch sports games and events like concerts or shows.

In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
The Exeter school of art and design has a very nice atmosphere. Exeter is quite a small town, with lots of students, and lot's to do for students. After a year, you've seen it all, i have to say. The level of teaching at this uni was lower than my home university. I cannot say i really learnt new things, but that gave me lot's of time to enjoy the new country and get work experience outside the uni...

Final comments
The uk is expensive. That's important to know before, so you don't get dissapointed.
Make sure you use all the student discount cards available.
The area of Devon and Cornwall are beautiful, i recommend travelling around. It's close to several beaches and Cornwall's great for surfing as well.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
More Freedom in an apt. Also, I would have preferred sharing a quaint house with other students.

Too many rules while living on campus. Cleaning maids and university rules make you wonder if you are in Uni or some kind of bording school.

Don't take travellers cheques. You have to get them cashed at a bank, and they charge you a commission charge. Stick to bank cards and credit cards.

Live with english students. There will be plenty of opportunity to get to know other international students. This way you can have the best of both worlds. You'll want to buy a wetsuit and go surfing. Make sure you get a Int'l drivers permit so you can rent a car and check out the country side and seaside villages. Take the ferry to Cornwall and hike the coastal path to the next town, have a pint and enjoy the view. Also: Jelly Jazz at the Quay Club and some special events on Union Street. Don't be afraid of Union Street, just take a cab. Start visiting the surrounding towns in Cornwall/Devon early - there is a lot to see. Join a club, but be sure they are organised - many are not. The ski club is pretty good. They meet every week in a pub and get together for at least one big ski trip. Football is well organised and I think the SUBA club is getting better (thanks to Seb, or course).
