“A modern university”
Miklos J
Denmark,
International Relations, 2021
Overall
The university is known for its more modern take on university education. I found it very interesting studying there. It was challenging, but it was good that they let students grow their independence in terms of education.

Careers
It did offer, however, due to danish funding laws, this was never much of a possibility. However, the career centre gave us a lot of tools to take with us. They also gave us a realistic introduction to the job market.

“Insightful and practical”

Overall
My education: BSc (Hons) Geography. Grade - 1st class. My studies include a broad range of mainly environmental-related topics. I will include a brief description of the most relevant to provide you with some insight into my education.
Work was mainly completed in the form of essays and scientific reports, as well as fieldwork.
Final year modules include:
Dissertation (Major research project) - My most significant piece of work. I developed then conducted an online questionnaire as well as interviews to assess the attitudes of key stakeholders to the reintroduction of the Lynx (Lynx lynx) to the UK. Data was collated and analysed for a 12,000-word report. Research contributes to the discourse of ecological restoration and environmental management in the UK.
I will attach a copy of this as an example of my work, it is rather long, but is summarised in the ‘Abstract’ section.
Global environmental politics - In this module I investigated the processes, actors and policies associated with the evolution of global environmental politics. Focusing on climate change policies. This was assessed in the form of essays
Long-term ecology and conservation - This module considers the response of organisms to human impact, climate and ecological change over long-term timescales. Some aspects I examined included trends in biodiversity; evolution & extinction.
Fieldwork - Evaluating conservation policy in Belize within a research team. After research was completed an analytic report was created to showcase findings.
Geomorphology - In this module I evaluated the effectiveness of accessible technology such as Google earth when researching tectonically active (ie, earthquakes) landscapes.

Housing
Type of housing: shared housing
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It's good to share with other people, I find shared housing more comfortable than living on campus, it's cheaper and has a more homely atmosphere.
