“My experience studying abroad”
Belen P
Spain, Undergraduate
Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, 2018
Overall
I highly recommend study abroad in another language. You can master many skills and develop yourself consistently. I feel very confident about my skills because I challenge myself during 4 years studying very hard to achieve excellent results.
I work with people from different nacionalities which enriched myself as a person and also, I had the chance to meet different cultures.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Living with the rest of the international students is great way to meet cultures from all over the world. I would never accept some more space at an apartment if I have to leave my great flatmates at the campus.

Personal comments
Our residence was located out of town in a quiet area where you can relax and study. Every night there is a bus going between the two housing residences and the library that is located just across the students union - great way to get back home (for free) if you have been studying at the library or to go have fun at the union.
Although there were few issues like slow internet connection and heating outages, the quality of the residence was good. You have private room, shared bathrooms, living room and kitchen. Janitors are employed to clean the shared spaces.
Two small and one big soccer fields as well as one tennis court and a gym are available at the sport center. There is a big park nearby.

The accommodation is really good, the only problem is that you need to take either the bus or a cab to get to the city center. But on the other hand, you are away, on the campus, and you have the sports facilities just there

It was pretty expensive for the space provided, but I guess that's the price you have to pay in UK. The good thing was that it was in the middle of a green space.

A bit old-fashioned and some things didn't work (e.g. shower) very well.. We had our own cleaning lady :)
