The courses that been offered are more specific and designed to be practical for the task force.
The teachers are quite specialist in the field of Structural Engineering and Finite Element Analysis.
The environment offered by the University is vibrant and friendly for students and once you get graduated your chances to get an employment will be much higher.

“Semester abroad at newcastle”

I came to Newcastle to study a semester abroad and took master level courses. My overall experience was good. Campus is really big and you have lots of people to meet people or hang out with friends. The Students Union has its own building with its own bar!
Lectures are well structured and most teachers seemed to have really good knowledge. However, during my semester some classes were affected because of the strikes. I had friends that didn't have classes for two weeks straight. I think this was definitely a disadvantage.

“Four years of solid teaching.”

Newcastle University provides a fairly standard university experience. The courses and teaching are of good quality, while the pastoral support is also of a high standard.
Newcastle is a campus university, located in the centre of a busy northern city. This means that transport links are excellent and commuting into University each day from home proved to be no problem for me.
The most enjoyable year of my degree, however, was spent studying abroad in Tuebingen, Germany. That this exchange was a mandatory part of my studies with a guaranteed place abroad was a huge plus.

The main reason why I applied for the program was the Film Production course that was a part of the curriculum. Thanks to that I've finally found the industry that potentially I would like to work in. At the end of the studies I had an option either to write a dissertation or to make a final 30 minute documentary, which was an amazing opportunity for me to create a documentary from scratch. I enjoyed the whole experience including students life in Newcastle.

“A fantastic student experience”

Having studied Economics at Newcastle for 3 years I can wholeheartedly reccomend it to any undergruate or Erasmus student.
The degree content was challenging but taught thoroughly and well and the small group seminars for each module were very useful for improving deeper understanding.
The city itself was amazing; so much to do, places to eat and student venues to go out. It made my 3 years constantly fun and exciting.
