the nightcat near Brunswichstreet was very popular. Funky music. My favorite place though was Prince Alfred's on Grattan street, opposite university. Mostly college people here though.

The flat was too far away from university and involved a 3/4 hour ride by bike every morning or every night.

It's not difficult to understand australian accent as fas as they are highly educated. However, 1-2% of lecturers speak very australian and thereby very difficult to understand
