I stayed at University City Apartments (UCA) which was very expensive. It is really easy to find nice and cheap accommodation in Melbourne so don't worry about finding a place to live beforehand.

there is no need to pre-arrange accommodation from home country. Aussies are very helpful...it is mainly rainy and grey during winter-semester in Melbourne
