As this was an English-speaking university, I had no problems whatsoever. Additionally, the management of the University of Manchester seemed very well organized and suited to deal with any issue.

British students do not communicate willingly with foreign ones. The Chinese and Africans are left on their own completely. I'm white, so I was more lucky.

It was difficult to communicate with local people in everyday life experiences, because local accent is not so easy to understand, furthermore local people usually speak too fast. I didn' have any problem to communicate with other international students, and neither did at university: teachers used to speak a perfect english.
