Save before coming to Finland. It is a beautiful country and there's lots to see, but even though students have 50% discount in transport, still transport is expensive. If you like travelling you are gonna enjoy Finland and thneighbour countries, as long as you can afford it, of course. To those who smoke I would recomend quitting smoking. Smoking in Finland is forbidden in most places, such as cafes, universities, flats, etc. It is not fun to be smoking outside when is -30 degrees!

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I would like living in a colocation because on the campus the mentality was very good but i would like to live with finish people in order to learn more the language and understand more the way of life.

I choosed to live on the campus first because it was very good situated in the town, second because it was like living in a colocation with neighbours of all the world. The flat was very usefull.

Why?
All in all the accomodation offered by the University is really good and you feel yourself at home in these flats soon.

Personal comments
Like said above, the accomodation is quite comfortable; the flats are in good locations, they are all equipped with internet, and if you wanted to change, the people responsible for this are helpful. The disadvantage is, that in Helsinki the flats are really expensive.
