Language was not a problem for me as I went to an ENglish speaking country. They were great communicators, both in the university and as a nation. Very helpful and friendly.

I didn't have any problems, as I was intstucted in english during my BA as well, and I hold a teaching licence of english in my home country

At first I was amazed at all the different accents I heard at Essex but by the end of the year I could speak to anyone with no problem.

It was quite simple to communicate with international students, with teachers and secretaries, but more difficult to discuss with English people and to understand tv and radio
