Edinburgh University is really well located. Edinburgh is a lovely place to live in (lots of museums, a lovely castle, lots os places to go out to...)

While you are in Scotland take the time to travel: I would recomment you to go to Staffa Island (not far from Isle of Mull) just to have the opportunity to see some lovely puffins!!!!

The University of Edinburgh has some great courses and useful resources. However, there tends to not be much help in essay writing or preparing for exams, or no one to go to with any extra help.

Take hounors courses. The level of first and second year courses could be a bit low if it is your major!

I would recommend the isles f.e skye for travel. The international student centre is a fantastic institution run by students which organises nice excursions and some funny event. You can also be a volunteer for them. In Edinburgh I would recommend you to join one of the hundreds societies - that is a fantastic experience.

Well, i did a lot of travelling...so a big chunk of money right there...but it was worth it!!! take advantage of Ryan air!!!! free flights all over Europe!!! don't miss out!

Don't buy a bedding pack from the University accommodation...they charge about 30 pounds...go to the pound stretcher or pound saver (they are on every corner) and get one for half of that money!!! there are tons of second hand stores around the university area...you can pretty much find anything you want.

Pourquoi?

I lived in a house with other students. We did not have bills, but it was just like renting in the states. I could come and go as I pleased giving me the freedom to explore. I would choose to do this again because the experience was living like a citizen, not just a student!

The accomodations were set up through my home university. We lived in a large home outside of the city. It was a ten minute bus ride to the University and a 30 minute ride to my internship at the Royal Bank of Scotland. I would choose to live in a house again. There were roommates, but no dorm food! We had to provide for ourselves, but well worth the experience.
